ASSOCIATION OF THEOLOGICAL SCHOOLS (ATS) NOTIFICATION
We are pleased to announce that Dickerson-Green Theological Seminary at Allen University will host a team of evaluators from the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) from March 4 to March 7, 2024. This visit is a significant step in our ongoing pursuit of excellence in theological education, as it represents the comprehensive evaluation for initiation accreditation. The ATS Commission on Accrediting is recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as a reliable authority for the quality and improvement of theological schools. Accreditation by ATS is a mark of quality and commitment to educational excellence.
Purpose of the Visit:
The purpose of this visit is to assess the school's compliance with the ATS Commission Standards. These standards encompass various areas critical to providing a high-quality theological education, including academic programs, governance, faculty, student support, library and information resources, and financial stability.
Invitation for Public Comment:
In preparation for this visit, we invite comments from the public regarding our school's qualifications for accreditation. We value the perspectives of our students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members.
