HOMECOMING PARADE APPLICATION

Greetings,

The Allen University Homecoming Committee is pleased to announce the 2025 Homecoming Celebration Parade for Saturday morning, November 8, 2025, in downtown Columbia. We invite you to participate.

The parade will commence downtown at Sumter Street and Calhoun Street and will travel down Sumter Street, culminating on Lady Street. To participate, please complete the enclosed application and return it no later than October 15, 2025. The application and the waiver of liability documents should be submitted as soon as possible. The entry fee is $30. Entry Fees are waived for band participants.

All participants must arrive for the lineup by 9:00 A.M. The parade will kick off promptly at 10:00 A.M.

Please note, items may not be "thrown" from your parade vehicle. Items MUST be placed in the hands of spectors by a walker from your group.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY

I, the undersigned, in consideration of my organization’s participation in Allen University Homecoming 2025 Parade and as group representative, hereby release, remise and forever discharge Allen University its officers and directors, contractors, agents, employees, severally or jointly, of and from any and all liability, claims, actions and possible causes of action which may accrue to any member of the group from any and loss, damage and injury (including death) that may be sustained while participating in the Parade. I certify that any vehicle(s) which will be driven by me or my organization in the Allen University Homecoming 2025 Parade has insurance which conforms to South Carolina State Law and that each driver of motor vehicle(s) has a current, valid license. The application will be void if the Waiver of Liability is not signed.
